Diep purperrood van kleur met in de geur expressieve zwarte kersen, wilde bosbessen, kirsch, mentol, kruidnagel en lelies. Volle body met geconcentreerd zwart fruit. Lange en aanhoudende door zijdezachte ondersteunde tannines.
“The 2016 Saint-Georges (Côte Pavie) is deep, powerful and quite concentrated. Iron, smoke, leather, gravel and scorched earth give the 2016 a distinctive wild, feral quality. Today, the tannins are rather imposing. I would prefer to give the 2016 a few years in bottle to fully come together. The 2016 holds quite a bit of promise, even if it is unyielding today.” – Vinous
